For the guests who finished the easy hunt in four minutes and looked bored. This version replaces straightforward item lists with riddle clues that require actual thought, observation, and a willingness to search places they probably should not.

Design Details

The riddles range from moderately tricky to genuinely difficult. Early clues warm players up (“I have hands but cannot clap, a face but cannot see. I hang upon your wall and count the hours until you’re free.” Answer: a clock). Later clues lean into wordplay, Halloween lore, and observation skills that require guests to look carefully at your decor and party setup. Several clues are intentionally ambiguous enough to accept multiple valid answers, which makes scoring more interesting.

Print one sheet per team (teams of two or three work best). Hand out the clue sheets and set a 30-minute window. The answer key lets you adjudicate disputes. Award bonus points for creative answers that technically satisfy the riddle, even if they are not the intended solution.
